Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority job at Harkerside, Swaledale - August 2009

Visitors to the Dales on a certain Thursday in August 2009 could be excused for thinking a bunch of cowboys had descended on Swaledale for the day, to create a stone step stile in a wall to reopen a right of way - a barrier across the route had mysteriously appeared back in history, preventing access over this popular walkers path - and the meanest critters this side of the A1 were called in to sort out this problem. The photos will reveal all (no animals were harmed in the shooting of this sequence)
